Lots of snow to shovel, sandbags to fill and place where needed, fallen trees to deal with, nearly everyone had some type of natural disaster to deal with this winter, some not even ” natural “, but it got more people outside. Bottom line is, getting outside and doing something.  Sure is nice to have a good winter again, it’s been too long. There have been and still will be not so good results from all the winter storms, but we have to realize the benefits. There are lots and I’ll try in the future to cover as many as possible, but for now let’s be glad we got a good one.

Outdoors and stuff

Welcome to my new blog!  Going to try to focus on the outdoors and outdoor activities, but of course any old subject will come up. I’m new to this sort of thing so you’ll have to bear with me but it will be worth your while. I tend to call ’em the way I see ’em so some of you will be offended, some of you will want to re-live the good old days, and some of you will just like the read.

The winter all across the country has been, well, odd. It has brought lots of folks outside who ordinarily wouldn’t have been, shoveling snow, sandbagging, running for cover, a multitude of jobs that had to be done.

The long overdue, nearly forgotten winters may finally be coming back, the drought in many areas may be coming to an end, we can only hope. Without the water that has been missing for so many years many ranches, farms, and other food sources have literally been drying up and going out of business. Hopefully that is coming to an end.

I will be bringing up in the future about the self centered people who have felt the need to build big expensive homes in the wildlife winter range which now, with a good winter, is killing the wildlife, and forcing them into towns and even homes. Time to rethink all the available living spaces back in town that are going to waste.

Enough for an introduction, look for much more in the future, you won’t be disappointed.
